Classic Aged Negroni 200ml 28% ABV

£19.00

Negroni, the cocktail that started all of this. The history of the Negroni is clouded in mystery. It is suggested that the Negroni was invented at Caffe Casoni in Florence, Italy in 1919. Apparently, Count Camillo Negroni asked his friend, bartender Forsco Scarselli, to strengthen his favourite cocktail – the Americano – by replacing the soda water with gin. The story goes that he wanted a stronger drink having discovered The Countess 'in flagrante delicto' with The Baron.

The rest is history. Whilst an Americano is nice, the Negroni is better!

Mine is the classic, our very own superb Fat Adam’s Gin, from the award winning Hawksridge Distillery goes well with Campari and Cinzano 1757, which I prefer in my Classic Negroni. There are others that work well. We age ours to get it just right having added some orange bitters to give this a tremendous orange scent all the way through the drinking experience before we bottle it for you.

It's a smooth and full strength Negroni, just pour over a large ice cube and garnish with orange. Give the cocktail a minute to chill and let the water soften it a touch, giving the aromas a little nose time, before you take a small sip, enjoying the ‘mouth-feel’ and taking your time, enjoying the experience.

A great gift to friends, family, colleagues and, of course, yourself!
